Research Assistant Professor
Areas of Expertise:
Paleoclimatology and Paleoceanography. Putting modern climate variability into historical context and expanding our knowledge of the processes causing climate variability on seasonal to millennial time scales. Including such topics as: exploring the link between ocean circulation and climate and understanding the climatological controls on tropical cyclone activity.

Expertise
Research Interests:
My research program is centered around understanding natural climate change from the geologic record in order to improve forecasts of future climate change. Some of my current research projects include 1) Reconstructing the climate history of the Caribbean from coral geochemistry, 2) Exploring the link between ocean circulation and climate, and 3) Understanding the climatological controls on tropical cyclone activity.
